Dominoes for three year olds

Select a center piece to start. Build off of the ends matching  the dominoes number (dots).

Magazine Letter Hunt

GAME OVER because we couldn't find  a capital Q.

Real or make believe?

I used books to teach the first concept attempt at real or make believe. We talked about the books, the  pictures, and how some are real life while others are make believe stories. Then we sorted them.

Dry Paper Experiment

The paper towel is still dry even thought the water was high enough to go inside! We used tall glasses as well as short, and had the same results.

Pouring Practice

Filling up the last cup by using ladle, then into a cup, into another cup, and into final cup. Imagine how little water makes it to the last cup each try!

Sink or Float Activity

Then we recorded the results.

Hammering Practice

Then he wanted to remove them.

Here's a variation using Styrofoam.

Munch Monster

I got this idea from my son's preschool teacher. Munch Monster!

Here is the song: "Munch Monster, Munch Monster, munch, munch, munch. I want the number two for lunch." Use to teach letters, numbers, uppercase, and lowercase, colors, shapes, etc., by changing what he wants for lunch. The child gets to feed the monster the correct piece.

Home made toys and skill builders

I didn't make this maze, a friend did, but I LOVE it. It has a marble inside he can push around to the finish mark.

I did make this buttoning set (big deal, right) after my son had difficulty doing this skill in an evaluation.
